The cold weather is finally here! Well, at least, here in New Jersey it is in full force. As such, it my skin has started drying up accordingly. In fact, under those toasty Ugg boots I'm sure everyone's gorgeous summer pedicure is slowly roughening up. Well, if you haven't taken the time to invest in a Ped Egg, I highly suggest you do so. But for those of us without the time to grate our feet into shredded softness, I am here to tell you about a new product that will knock your socks off!

CalleX Foot Ointment

This is CalleX Foot Ointment. It doesn't sound overly exciting, but I assure you, it is. This product exfoliates and moisturizes dry and cracked feet back to their original softness. It does not contain any acids and is diabetic friendly.

How does it work, you ask? I assure you, this product is NOT just glorified Vaseline. CalleX contains exfoliating enzymes (protease and aminopeptidase) in a Petrolatum base. This product only contains four ingredients, which is something I appreciate. So let's see, what is the last mystery ingredient? Natural peppermint oil! If anyone knows me, they know that I love minty smelling things. This is a soft, earthy mint scented treat that is a pleasure to put on your feet. That should be their slogan!

They say it will fix cracked or flaking heels in just 2-4 weeks, but I have only used this for a day or two now. My feet were not really bad to start with, so I don't really have too much to complain about, but I have noticed that they are softer and smoother since I started to use this product. I also gave a sample to my mom, who has really bad cracked feet -- so I'll have to update on how it works for her, if she remembers to use it!

One thing, the CalleX company states on the box not to use it with exfoliating devices (aka the Ped Egg or a Pumice Stone). I guess this is because it is exfoliating enough on its own and it might make your skin raw.

Want to try CalleX for yourself? Check it out online here for before and after shots, testimonials, etc. Or head to your local CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid or Duane Reade. For $16.99, it is not a bad investment once you feel how soft your feet can be. If it doesn't work, there is also a money back guarantee. Oh, and, you can get $2.00 off with this coupon!

What do you use to soften those winter feet? Let me know :)
